COVID AWARE EVENT

On July 19th 2021 ‘legal controls’ change to ‘personal responsibility’ as restrictions are lifted in England, BUT we are fully aware that COVID -19 is here to stay and something we will all have to live with possibly for a long time. As well respected event organisers we just wanted to make all our guests aware of the steps we are taking to make your festival experience as safe as possible.

▶️ Most importantly our festival is an ‘open air’ event which greatly reduces the risk of transmission, the venue is set in a 25 acre field and we have extending the arena to create extra space for everyone to feel comfortable.

▶️ We have completed the government’s COVID-19 mass gathering event risk assessment and have a risk score of 25 rating our Festival a safe ‘Amber’ event.

▶️ We are proud to announce that Lincolnshire Public Health will be in attendance with their Roving Testing Unit. Don’t worry testing is not a requirement to attend our Festival, the team are here to support you and ourselves as event organisers to ensure public safety. The unit can offer supervised tests or provide self test for home use. The team are also able to answer any questions that people may have on Vaccination and testing.

ℹ️ Please DO NOT attend our festival if you need to self-isolate, for example because you have been asked to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace; are required to isolate after travel; or because they are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms (a high temperature, new and persistent cough, or a loss of/change in sense of taste or smell), even if these symptoms are mild. Also if you, or anyone you live with, have one or more of these symptoms they should not attend, and should follow the government guidance https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/symptoms/

The extra safety measurements that we will implement this year will include:

• ‘check in now’ QR code posters.
  
• extra hand washing and sanitiser stations.
  
• more space and one way system in the entrance / exit tent.
  
• extra toilets with hand basin and liquid soap.
  
• frequent cleaning of toilets, bar, showers. campsite and other public high contact surfaces.
  
• extra first aid personnel will be available.
  
• contactless payments accepted.
  
• the beer tent will be managed and controlled with separate queuing lanes to the bar and one way system in place.
  
• obviously respect others who may want to maintain some social distance or wear a face mask.
  
• the VIP marquee will be open fronted and well ventilated with tables spaced at 1m plus with limited numbers.
  
• The NHS COVID Pass or Lateral flow test results are NOT required to attend our festival BUT we still strongly encourage guests to use the NHS
• COVID Pass, especially when people are likely to be in close proximity to others outside your household.

To support all businesses, organisations and individuals such as our event setting, the NHS COVID Pass will be available through the NHS App, the NHS website, or as a letter that can be requested by ringing NHS 119. Visitors will also be able to show text or email confirmation of test results on entry. BAND / PERFORMERS INFORMATION

THE STAGE CONTROL MEASURES

Ambient Sound (our stage & sound team) will be taking the following measures to protect against the spread of Covid-19:

• All hand held microphones will be sanitised between each act using anti-bacterial wipes.
  
• All vocal microphones will be sanitised and have a disposable grill protector cap renewed after each act.
  
• Bands are contacted in advance, that their singers can bring and use their own microphones if they wish.
  
• We have 3 separate changing rooms in the back stage tent for bands to relax and get ready before performing. These will each have hand
sanitiser available and each room cleaned before the arrival of the next band.

• The single toilet for performing acts will include hand basin and liquid soap.

Changes to venue check-in regulations

From Monday 19 July 2021, designated venues are no longer legally required to ask customers, visitors and staff to “check in” (attendees can scan the NHS QR code poster via the NHS COVID-19 app or provide their contact details). Although it isn’t a requirement, you are strongly encouraged to retain your NHS QR code poster and maintain your “logbook” containing attendees’ contact details. By asking individuals to check in and promptly sharing the records of those who provide their contact details with NHS Test and Trace, you will help us to identify people who may have the virus. NHS Test and Trace will only ask for your records if there is an outbreak at your venue, and then alert attendees who checked in on the same day. Venue alerts:

• will be triggered if there are two or more cases at a venue (unless it is a large venue, such as a football stadium, which will lead to a
case-by-case assessment).
• will ask individuals to book a test as soon as possible. A venue alert will not ask individuals to self-isolate.
• will never name the venue linked to the outbreak.
• does not mean your venue needs to close. Public health guidance will be given to you if you are contacted by NHS Test and Trace so that you
can continue to operate safely.
• are not the same alert that individuals receive on the NHS COVID-19 app if they have come into close contact with a confirmed case. Close
contact alerts will advise the individual to self-isolate, venue alerts will not.
• will be sent as an app notification to those that scanned the NHS QR code with the NHS COVID-19 app, or by text message to people who
provided their contact details to check in.
